The magical city of Siena lies in the very heart of Tuscany and her beauty and charm have captivated visitors for centuries. Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti, Siena is one of the most beautiful places in all of Italy. The centre of Sienese life is the Piazza del Campo where just about everyone takes an evening stroll. It is also the setting for the spectacular Palio horse race, held on July 2nd and August 16th of each year.

Italian School Siena
The Italian language school is located in the medieval centre of Siena. In a historical building, the school is in an incredible location, close to historical monuments, museums, shopping and more. The cosy atmosphere of the school will help you feel at home and you will have access to several large classrooms as well as a beautiful sun deck that students are free to use for studying and hanging out. Our friendly administration staff are there to help you with any questions you may have and are always ready to give you great advice on Siena and her surroundings. Students also have access to free Internet to stay in contact with family and friends.

Standard course: 20 group lessons per week. The 4 lessons are held daily from Monday to Friday, usually beginning at 9am. If there are many participants the Standard Italian Language Course may also be held in the afternoon at 2pm. There is a maximum of 12 students in each class.

Intensive Plus Course: The Intensive Plus Course consists of the Standard Italian language course plus additional private Italian lessons (one-to-one). The individual Italian lessons are specifically designed for your specific needs. We offer two kinds of Intensive Plus Courses:

Intensive Plus-5 Course: 20 lessons of Standard Italian Course and additional 5 private Italian lessons per week;

Intensive Plus-10 Course: 20 lessons of Standard Italian Course and additional 10 private Italian lessons per week.
- Italian Language and Culture Course: 20 + 5 lessons per week: The course involves 20 standard Italian language classes per week plus an additional 5 afternoon lessons on art, culture, history, folklore, press and films as well as the current economic and political situation in Italy.

Italian Language + Culinary Traditions and Gastronomy Course:
20 + 10 lessons per week: The course involves 20 standard Italian language classes per week plus an additional 10 lessons on the culinary traditions of Siena from medieval times to today. The course also involves wine and olive tasting as well as demonstrations in traditional Italian restaurants.

Business Italian – 20 standard lessons, plus 10 individual lessons: Business Italian will be covered in the one-to-one lessons catered to the individuals’ specific needs.

Exam preparation course: DELI - A2 (Elementary Italian Diploma), DILI - B1 (Intermediate Italian Diploma), DILC - B1
(Intermediate Italian Diploma), DILI - B2

Host Family: Staying with an Italian family is a great way to learn the Italian language and make new friends. Our Italian language school carefully selects all families and they look forward to making you feel at home in Siena and help you learn Italian. In selecting host families, we do not look for luxury and comfort in the material sense but for Italian families who appreciate receiving foreign students.
Shared Apartment: Living in an apartment, together with other foreign or Italian students or with the landlord/landlady, requires maturity but allows you considerable independence. You share the bathroom and the kitchen with your roommate(s) and can cook on your own. You will be provided with a single room. A deposit of approximately €100 will be required on arrival.
