Situated in the south of France, Montpellier benefits from 300 sunny days per year. Students can enjoy sunny café terraces, street musicians performing in the centre, daily markets with typical “provence” colours and the easy way of life of the South of France.

French School Montpellier
The French language school is located just off the famous “Place de la Comedie” the heart of Montpellier, in the pedestrian zone. Students will enjoy its numerous restaurants with sunny terraces, shops and cinemas. The language school is only a 2 minute walk from the train station, the tramway and buses, and therefore within easy reach of the host families.
The school is set in a charming 19th Century building of traditional architecture with modern facilities. Classrooms are equipped with TV and DVD. The 12 classrooms are airy, light and open out onto sunny balconies.

Standard: 20 lessons per week: A general French course aimed at acquisition of skills covering all aspects of the language: grammar, structure and vocabulary.

Intensive: 20 + 4 lessons per week: Standard formula plus 4 lessons from a choice of:
- Conversational focus classes.
- Exam preparation: DELF, TEF, CCIP.
- One to one tuition, tailor made to suit specific requirements (4 or 10 hours).

Private 20/30: 20 or 30 private lessons: These classes are adapted to the student’s specific requests and requirements.

French for professionals (July and August only): 20 lessons per week. The course is for those who already have an advanced level of French. The course gives students the opportunity to go over problems areas, learn professional language skills as well as colloquial language skills.

Average class size: 3 – 8 students, with a maximum of 10 per class.

Host family: Host families are carefully selected based on their aptitude to welcome foreign guests, tidiness of the place and location. Staying with a host family is the best way for students to immerse themselves in the French language and culture.
Students will have an individual room, eat breakfast and dinner with the French host and improve their language skills outside the school environment. Host families are located from 5 minutes walk to 20 minutes by bus from the school.
- Student residence: Studios (1 or 2 people) and apartments (2 to 6 people) are available for students. All are fully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, telephone, satellite TV, bathroom and separate toilet facilities.
All are located 10 minutes from the school and 15 minutes from the beach.

If you choose to stay with a host family, the host can come to pick you up at the airport or station. This is a free service, however, the student has to contact the French host at least one week before arrival to introduce themselves and to inform the family of all arrival details.
Should the student choose alternative accommodation they must make their own way to the chosen accommodation either by bus, taxi or tramway. There is a regular shuttle going directly from the airport to the city centre (near the school).
