 Biarritz is a peaceful haven niched between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Originally a quaint fishing village, until the end of 19th century when Napoleon III and the empress Eugenie fell in love with the regions natural beauty, Biarritz rapidly became a fashionable, refined seaside resort.
This era brought a prestigious clientele to Biarritz and hence considerably developed its architecture, elegant buildings, casinos and palaces that today form the town’s reputation. In 1957, Biarritz welcomed its first surfers from the European continent and today has become a renowned "surfers paradise" thanks to its long sandy beaches and mild climate all year round. |

French School Biarritz
The French language school is ideally located close to Biarritz town center (20 mins by foot, 10 mins by bike), train station and airport. In a modern and spacious building dating from the 70's, the language school offers 15 bright, air-conditioned classrooms for groups of 2 to 12 participants. An Internet and self study room is also at students’ disposal through out class hours.

Standard – 20 group lessons per week: A general French group course that takes place entirely during the morning.

Intensive – 30 group lessons per week: The same core programme as our standard course in the morning and the 8 afternoon lessons are based on the discovery of France and the French through communicative and creative skills.

Combined – 20 group lessons, plus 4 private lessons: A personalised and flexible course which provides the opportunity, during the afternoon private lessons, to study a specific subject or focus on any given aspect of the French language that the person wishes to perfect (phonetics, grammar, written & oral expression).

Business French – 20 Group lessons, plus 10 private business French lessons (Elementary –Advanced): With its focus on business in its environment, this course will help you move into professional contexts: sales correspondence, reports and reviews, presenting a company (location, organisational chart), job descriptions.

Private 10 / 15 – 10 or 15 private 1-hour lessons: The student will define his/her objectives to create an individual programme adapted to his/her level and learning pace.

Average class size: 2 – 12 students per class.

Host Family: We have host families of all ages and social backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common, their hospitality and friendliness!
The host families provide breakfast and dinner on weekdays and all meals on weekends, with an individual, comfortable bedroom. Accommodation is from Sunday prior to starting date of the course until Saturday. Your host family will also meet you at the airport or train station on arrival.
